What’s new
Every change you can see on the site, dated, newest first, with the pull request it came from. Each entry says what you can do now. None of them says how well it does it — the methodology page carries the measured records, with their sample sizes, and the fantasy accuracy page carries the projection scorecard.
ESPN Link · Chrome extension
ESPN doesn’t publish private-league data, so ESPN Link reads your league in your own browser, with the ESPN session already there, and hands it to your open Blitzen tab. It requests no cookie permission and runs no code on espn.com; the manifest on the store page shows both.
A synced league gets

These need a newer build than the store serves. The pages say so where each would go, instead of showing an empty table, and this list empties the day the store serves it.
A sync starts from the extension. Nothing runs while Blitzen is closed — the extension holds no background permissions, and adding one would mean asking for permissions it deliberately does not hold.

The per-bookmaker line chart on a game served the oldest snapshots we had recorded, so on a game with weeks of price history it drew prices from weeks earlier and its 2H/6H/24H picker treated the newest of those as the present. It now serves the most recent snapshots, and prints the span it covers — saying so plainly when earlier prices exist that are not on the chart.

The advanced line chart now labels each series with the team the number belongs to — “Texans spread”, “Texans moneyline” — and a Spread toggle re-quotes the same line from the other team, which flips its sign; every other spread on that axis, including each pinned book’s curve, flips with it. A Percent view shows both sides of the moneyline as percentages read from the two real posted prices, with the sentence that says how they were de-vigged, from how many books, when, and what the raw pair summed to before it was normalized to 100. It covers the current price only: the movement store keeps just the home side, so there is no history behind it and the view says so. Two corrections come with it. The market percentage previously shown on the game-page chart and on the Desk was computed against an assumed −110 price for the side nobody had quoted; measured against the real pair on the 13-game NFL board of September 20, that shortcut was off by 10.0 percentage points on average and by 23.5 at worst, so the number you were reading there was wrong — Miami at San Francisco read 63.4% where the posted pair says 86.9%. And the Desk’s model-versus-market pane, together with the two extra rows it put on the crosshair, is gone rather than fixed: it needed an away price for each past instant, and none is stored.

Snap counts for the season in progress are now collected. The fetch had been asking for a fixed list of seasons that ended before this one, so it rebuilt the same file every Tuesday and the Role Movers board on the fantasy hub was still showing weeks 16-18 of last season in Week 2 of this one. The board now names the season and the week its data actually reaches, in both the heading and the footer, and says which season is missing when the data is a season behind rather than promising it will catch up. For the first four weeks of a season there is no earlier stretch of games to measure a change against, and the board now says exactly that — and which week the first comparison lands in — instead of reporting that nothing moved. Snap counts are posted after games settle, so the board is never live.

The college football hub explained its lack of daily picks with the result of a comparison that was only ever run on NFL and NBA. It now says plainly that the college football moneyline model has not been measured against backing the market favourite, and the line links to this week’s college football slate instead of the methodology page for the other leagues’ test.

Every league’s schedule page is now rebuilt from a schedule fetched seconds earlier in the same 09:00 UTC morning run, so a game that finished overnight shows as final, with its score, that morning. Until now the fetch ran at 13:00 UTC and the rebuild at 09:00 UTC the next day, so on Sunday 2026-09-13 the college football page still listed 70 of 71 Saturday games as scheduled with no score.

In season the NFL weekly board is rebuilt every 30 minutes instead of every three hours — from noon ET through the Sunday afternoon games, and through the Sunday-night and Thursday-night games — so a player’s in-game points reach the Actual column about half an hour after they are read, 47 minutes at the worst once your browser’s cache of the page is counted. A board stops being this week’s once its last game has kicked off, so Monday-night points never land on it — and in the final week of the regular season, which has no Monday game, neither do Sunday-night ones. The footer says how often the board is rebuilt.

The Rankings tab is refreshed every morning instead of once a week, so a poll released on the Tuesday after a holiday weekend shows the next day rather than waiting for the following Monday. Each poll still carries its own week and release date; the hub had shown the preseason poll for a week of played games.

When ESPN and the odds feed list one kickoff on opposite sides of midnight Eastern — New Mexico State at Hawai’i on September 13 was listed at 11:59 PM by one and 12:05 AM by the other — the scoreboard and the game page now match the two listings, so the score, the quarter clock, the plays and the box score reach the page during the game rather than only a final afterwards. And a listing that sat a day with no score no longer shows as “Final” with no numbers: the tile says no result was reported.

The projections board prints when it was built, beside the market’s price date. A player whose game kicked off after that build, or whose game’s box score had not reached the board when it was built, says so on hover — his line can only arrive with a later rebuild — instead of suggesting he was missing from the box score.
